Learn to Meditate in this Session of Guided Meditation

Many clients have mentioned that they are interested in meditation, but either do not know how to meditate or have tried it in the past and have had difficulties remaining focused. This session of meditation is a guided experience, designed to teach various aspects of meditation such as how to sit, how to enter meditation, how to remain focused, and how to integrate your experience throughout your daily activities.

Relaxation, increased awareness, mental focus & clarity, and a sense of peace are usually the most common experience of those whom meditate regularly. Meditation may be important for you if you are interested in a daily practice of creating a positive and peaceful state of mind. By practicing meditation regularly, the client may gain a palpable sense of the self.

This hour long session can be adjusted for content for those with more experience and/or specific guided meditation desires, but for those who are interested in learning the basics, the session generally involves:

  • Discussion and Instruction (15 minutes)
    • Purpose of meditation
    • Common mistakes
    • How to sit to effortlessly support the body
    • Where to place your hands and in what position
    • How to prepare for meditation
       
  • Guided Sit (20 minutes of guided meditation)
    • Be verbally guided through a meditation
       
  • Review (5 minutes)
     
  • Silent Sit (15 minutes of silent meditation)
     
  • Review, Questions & Answers (5 minutes)

I also offer 15 minutes of Guided Meditation as an add-on to any massage service.
